Welcome to the web site of Caernarfon and  Dwyfor Ramblers.
We hope that what follows will interest to you, whether you are new to walking or are already a member of the Ramblers.  The main activities of our group can be summed up as:
Footpath Maintenance
Social Events
We are a welcoming and friendly group of people, so if you a newcomer to walking or a regular walker interested in trying something new, please get in touch, or simply join us for one of our walks. You don’t need to be a member of the Ramblers, just try us out for two or three walks or spend a day with our footpath crew, and see how things go.  Hopefully joining the Ramblers, Britain’s major campaigning organisation for walkers, will then seem the natural thing to do!

We have around fifty walks each year, ranging from short, easy strolls to more challenging days in the high mountains.  With a lovely coastline and the hills of Snowdonia, and much in between, there is always a walk to appeal.  In the summer we travel further afield for our popular long weekend of walks, while throughout the year we have a range of social activities, from a dinner and quiz night in the winter to a summer beach barbeque.

Putting something back, we have a team of enthusiastic volunteers who carry out footpath improvements and repairs in our area.  They work in liaison with Gwynedd Council, who provide training and equipment, and their efforts are much appreciated by local communities and fellow walkers.
